Debbie Funani Chawasarira

I pursued Beauty Therapy courses in 2016, driven by a passion for beauty, creativity, and skincare, and a desire to help others feel confident. My decision to enroll at TBTS was influenced by the unwavering support of Mrs. Chitamba, the principal, who challenged me to unlock my full potential and believed in me long before I learned to believe in myself.

After my diploma, I joined the Disney Magic cruise ship, a life-changing experience that allowed me to develop skills in hospitality, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving. I later relocated to the UAE, where I advanced my career, earning numerous aesthetics qualifications and becoming a Dubai Healthcare Authority-licensed Skin, Electrolysis, and Laser Specialist, working alongside top dermatologists in exclusive clinical settings.

I deeply appreciate TBTS for their invaluable support in helping me reach this milestone, particularly their assistance with the paperwork required by the UAE government to facilitate my transition.

Fun fact: I am proud to be the first-ever TBTS student enrolled when the school opened, and also the first to embark on a career aboard a cruise ship.😎

My journey began when I chose to enroll at Takesures Beauty School, where I successfully earned three diplomas. From there, the experience has been nothing short of incredible. I completed three contracts as an Ionithermist and Facialist onboard three luxury cruise ships, one of which included the Ultimate World Cruise, where I had the privilege of traveling to all seven continents, including Antarctica.
